EKOME supports the European School Radio with a donation of 2,000 euros, according to the decision made by the President and CEO of the National Center for Audiovisual Media and Communication, Mr. Panos Kouanis, on July 19, 2023.
We are pleased to accept this donation, which our organization had requested in a letter dated May 15, 2023, addressed to the President of EKOME, seeking immediate financial support of 5,000 euros annually. The purpose of this request was to enhance the work of “European School Radio, The First Student Radio,” promoting education through media and encouraging students to create and communicate original cultural content, both radio and music.
The importance of the donation was emphasized, as it would provide the opportunity to renew and develop a new music and radio program targeting an international audience during the summer months. It would also ensure the maintenance and upgrade of systems, allowing for the smooth operation of structures in Greece and abroad. The consistent funding from EKOME will be directed towards technical support, ensuring the seamless operation of the First Student Radio on all central platform websites, assessment systems for the contest, and Audience Award Vote. It will also help develop our infrastructure, laying the foundation for a mutually beneficial collaboration.
